Taormina, the second stop on our cruise around the Mediterranean, was one of my favorite ports. The beautiful, brightly-colored buildings, the cliffside views of the turquoise waters, and the amazing cannoli were just a few of the reasons I’d recommend this amazing place.

On the morning of our arrival, we tendered into the port of Naxos and took a bus along winding roads until we reached the cliffside town. All the while, views of Mount Etna’s silhouette danced along the periphery.

Once in Taormina, Adam and I meandered down the main street, following the crowd as we headed toward the amphitheater, one of the coolest ruins I’ve seen because it’s still used.

An event would be held there later in the evening, a concert of sorts; and, while there, Adam and I promised ourselves that we’d be back to witness a concert at this amazing, ancient venue.

The venue was large, with enough seats to hold a good-sized concert. I hope we get the chance to go back and witness a performance there.

After walking around the stadium, Adam and I headed upwards, to catch some good views of Taormina and – of course! – shots of my outfit.

Along the walk back, Adam and I stopped for a few drinks, including a delicious RosΓ© at the Grand Hotel Timeo, an amazing hotel with one hell-of-a strong cocktail! Adam got this bright pink drink that would’ve knocked me off my feet. I even had to share it with him toward the end!

Obvi those drinks made us walk slower, so we stopped every-so-often, snapping pictures of the scenery. I loved capturing shots of the beautiful alleyways, with their charming signs, beautiful florals, and overgrown greenery. I even found some to take snaps by. It was the perfect ending to our day in Taormina.

For those considering a trip to Sicily, Taormina is a must-see spot. For those looking for a place to sleep, the Grand Hotel Timeo seemed like it’d be an amazing place; with sweeping views of the city and its close proximity to the amphitheater, it’s the perfect location.
