I’m a huge fan of casual outfits and, when I’m not working, I can usually be found sporting something casual chic. I’ve been an avid follower of Hello Fashion’s Christine Andrew, who I describe as my realistic style muse.
There is something so effortless about her look (as well as the look of others that rock that casual chic vibe). So, I’ve gathered a few inspirational photos of that age-old, timeless combo: denim and a tee.
So, without further ado, here’s some casual chic outfit inspiration from some of my favorite fashion bloggers. All pictures link back to the blogger’s original posts.
Distressed Denim | White Tee | Heels
Blazer | White Tee | Denim Shorts | Sandals
Logo Tee | Black Denim | Booties
White Tee | White Denim | Nude Heels | Statement Jacket
Cardigan | Neutral Tee | Girlfriend Denim | Flats
When it comes to wearing denim and a tee, I have to admit that I love pairing certain styles and fits with heels. If I’m wearing a graphic tee and distressed denim, I’ll opt for a heel to avoid looking too casual. If I’ve got a plain v-neck tee paired with a loose, high-waisted pair of jeans, I’ll wear a flat with a pointed toe.
I tend to reserve sneaks for nicer tops, unless I’m hitting the theme parks.
But, the thing that I love the most about the timeless outfit combination of denim and a tee is that there are so many options, so many looks that one can create. Sazan Hendrix’s white denim and statement jacket could be worn to work on a casual Friday. I’d definitely wear Julie Sarinana’s blazer and denim short outfit on a fun lunch or dinner date with the hubs. And Julia Engel’s casual tee-sipping look? Pure perfection.
No matter what bag or shoes is paired with the outfit, it will have that effortless look that equals casual chic.
What denim and a tee look do you love most? If it isn’t one of these, comment with your favorite pic!
PS: Don’t mind that the pictures don’t have actual tees in them. :/ I couldn’t find that perfect one online and didn’t have time to take one of my own. Lame, I know.
